Jeunes Mères is the new film from two-time Golden Palm winners Jean-Pierre & Luc Dardenne. Jessica, Perla, Julie, Ariane and Naïma stay in a mother and child home where they receive help as young mothers. Five teenagers with hopes of a better life for themselves and their child.

Highly pregnant Jessica (Babette Verbeek) wants to understand why her mother (India Hair) gave her up at the time. Ariane (Janaïna Halloy Fokan), in turn, considers giving her baby a better future with an adoptive family. Perla (Lucie Laruelle) dreams of a warm nest with baby Noé and his father Robin (Günter Duret), although the latter seems more interested in smoking joints. Julie (Elsa Houben), the only one of the foursome, can count on a loving partner (Jef Jacobs), but is terrified of relapsing into her drug addiction.
