Thirteen years after a sweltering summer spun out of control, 27 year old Eva returns to the village she grew up in to deal with her past. This flemish drama is based on the bestselling novel by writer Lize Spit.
Eva returns in the middle of winter to her hometown, with a block of ice in her car, to confront the tormentors from her youth. As a child she was neglected by her parents and her attempts to make friends as a thirteen-year old left deep scars. A compelling coming of age film, which had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, where lead actress Rosa Marchant was awarded for her heartbreaking performance.
