Commencing her first job at a high school, Carla Nowak, a dedicated sports and maths teacher, stands out among the new staff because of her idealism. When a series of thefts occur and one of her students is suspected, Carla decides to investigate the matter herself. Although she tries to mediate between outraged parents, opinionated colleagues and aggressive students, she’s relentlessly confronted with the structures of the school system. The more she tries to do everything right, the closer she comes to breaking point.
