Gerrie Molendijk (Ton Kas) has lived in Portugal for some time, but every year he travels to Rotterdam for three days for a routine check-up because of his COPD. He stays with his stepdaughter and during the day spends time with his son Dick (Guido Pollemans), who often struggles to navigate the world around him. Dick hopes to reconcile with his father, but their relationship is one of few words and so father and son never seem to fully understand each other. The lack of communication quite often leads to mutual misunderstanding, especially when Gerrie’s plan comes to light: he wants to register permanently in Portugal.

Ten years after his acclaimed debut Tussen 10 en 12, filmmaker Peter Hoogendoorn is back with the equally personal, sometimes hilarious and always sincere Drie dagen vis.
