ArtEZ: Red Deer Route Block 2
ArtEZ: Red Deer Route Block 2
Red Deer Route is an art festival organized independently by students from the Bear Fine Arts program at ArtEZ. The route will give students the opportunity to make a deeper connection with the city and highlight places where we all come together. In this edition, Focus will host a festival of short films created by students from various departments.
The films will be shown in two seperate blocks. During the afternoon screenings, there are short introductions by one of the students. Part of the evening screenings is a conversation between students and the audience.
Our short films engage in an ongoing dialogue with public spaces, institutions, cities, libraries, and frames. Rather than providing answers, they raise questions. Here, experimentation, the creation of alternative realities, performativity, and new perspectives become tools for exploring and investigating the limitations, possibilities, and meanings of the world around us.
