Arnhem Film Club 2026–2027 Season

The Film Club’s new season kicks off in October 2026! An adventurous film program consisting (primarily) of advance screenings, selected and introduced by the programmers at Focus Filmtheater. The big difference from previous seasons is that, by popular demand, we’ve extended the new series to eight monthly screenings! There are six date series, with the same film shown each month.

The registration and payment process takes place via the Focus website (see “Registration Process” below).

Room 1 is on the ground floor; Room 2 is on the first floor (accessible by elevator).

Format of the Film Club Meetings

• The theater opens 20 minutes before the start of the screening. Before then, you’re welcome (during business hours) at Focus Eten en Drinken for a cup of coffee or tea (included in the price).
• Seating is not assigned for Film Club screenings.
• A short introduction by a Focus programmer precedes the film (5–10 minutes).
• Every Film Club member has a membership card; this Film Club card is not personalized (with the exception of participants with a Cineville or F-pass). You may lend your pass to someone else if you are unable to attend (except for Cineville/F-pass holders), but a pass can only be used once per month for the Film Club. Each time you visit, have your pass scanned at the box office. You will then receive a token for coffee or tea.
• You are not permitted to catch up on a missed film during a regular screening.
• New participants will receive their pass at the box office during the first meeting.
• Passes for members who also participated in the previous season will be validated for the new season after payment; so be sure to keep your old pass!
• A few days before each Film Club Day, an announcement with information about the film will be sent by email. Information is provided exclusively via email.
• Participants may—subject to availability—invite a guest to experience the film club once; the guest pays an admission fee of €15 (including coffee/tea).
• Before or after the Film Club screenings, you can enjoy a delicious lunch special with free coffee or tea in our restaurant. To make a reservation, please email info@focushoreca.nl and mention “Film Club.”

Participation Fees

Membership in the Film Club costs €105 (8 screenings). With an F-pass, you pay €100. Please note: a Film Club pass is not an F-pass. If in doubt, you can check the back of the pass to see which one it is.

Cineville members can also participate in the Film Club: you’ll pay a one-time surcharge of €32 (for coffee/tea and the introduction). Of course, your Cineville pass must be scanned at the ticket counter at every screening.

Registration Process

• Are you already a Film Club member? Then (starting June 18) click here on RENEW. You’ll renew the series you participated in last year! Film Club members with a Cineville Pass can use their Cineville Pass; to renew, send an email to filmclub@focusarnhem.nl, and we’ll set up your Film Club Pass for renewal through Cineville.
• If you’d like to switch series: please renew the series you were a member of last season anyway. Then send an email to filmclub@focusarnhem.nl letting us know which series you’d like to switch to.
• Fill in all the requested information. During the renewal process, you’ll be asked for your ZIP code and Filmclub Pass number. If you’re unable to complete the renewal, it’s possible that your ZIP code isn’t in our system. In that case, please send an email to filmclub@focusarnhem.nl with your address information.
• Are you new to the Filmclub? Starting July 15, you can sign up HERE. At the top of the form, select the pass type: Filmclub / Filmclub F-pass / Filmclub Cineville.
• The renewal or registration is complete once the iDEAL | Wero payment has been successfully processed. You’ll receive a confirmation via email.
• Would you like to sign up someone else as well? If so, please follow the registration process again.
• Do you always go to the same Film Club with friends? Make sure you all sign up or renew (roughly) at the same time.
• The date of the iDEAL | Wero payment is the registration date.
