New Bags in Collaboration with Fraenck
Now available at the Focus Filmtheater box office: new shopping bags, bike bags, and pencil cases!
These bags are sure to turn heads. They’re good for people and the environment and made right around the corner at Focus Filmtheater. They’re made from old movie banners that used to hang at Focus. The creative team at Fraenck’s social workshop put a lot of love into turning them into these beautiful bags. We’re thrilled about this new collaboration in Arnhem!
But be sure to act fast: They’re flying off the shelves and supplies are limited…
About Fraenck
Fraenck is a social enterprise focused on designing and manufacturing sustainable fashion accessories. Founders Ratna and Pascal met in 2008 at the art academy in Arnhem, where they were both students—she in the Fashion Design department and he in Product Design. Working together came very naturally, and starting a label was the next step. The first collection was created using leftover materials from the sailmaker Buitink Technology, making sustainability a key theme of the fashion label. Later, the company transitioned into a social enterprise through a partnership with the care facility Siza. The entire collection is produced in-house together with a group of people who could use a little extra support. They learn important (vocational) skills that bring them closer to the job market. Fraenck has a large store/studio on the Westervoortsedijk in Arnhem.
