Trieste, summer of 2007. The confident Swedish Fredrika has just moved to the Italian coastal city and ends up at a technical high school in a class full of boys. Over time, she builds a friendship with an inseparable trio: the fascinating and humble Antero, the outgoing casanova Pasini, and the sweet and protective Mitis. Un anno di scuola is the second film by director Laura Samani. After her debut film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, she premiered this film in Venice, where it won the Best Actor award. Laura Samani is seen as a director of the future of Italian cinema.
