A gripping psychological thriller that takes you back, in a raw, sensory way, to the social anxiety and peer pressure of adolescence. At a boys’ water polo camp, the socially awkward 12-year-old Ben is swept up in a cruel tradition.
To fit in, he joins a popular group of boys who cruelly exclude an outsider with a skin condition and call him “the plague.” Although Ben feels uncomfortable with the group’s behavior and feels sorry for the victim, he continues to go along with it out of fear of being excluded himself.
