The Kidnapping of a President

Finland, 1930. Lieutenant Eero is passed over for promotion again and starts drinking heavily. The next morning, he discovers that, without remembering it, he gave orders to kidnap Finland’s first president, Ståhlberg. The plan is carried out by a group of hopelessly clumsy accomplices and goes completely wrong from the start when Ståhlberg’s stubborn wife Ester also ends up in the back of the car. What follows is a hilarious, increasingly escalating series of events.
