It’s summer 1983. 24-year-old American research assistant Oliver (Armie Hammer) comes to Northern Italy to assist Professor Perlman. And he makes a big impression on the professor’s seventeen-year-old son Elio (breakthrough role of Timothée Chalamet), who to his own shock and surprise falls in love with Oliver.
