‘This movie really enchanted me. Since it takes place outdoors in the mountains, I think it will look stunning on the roof under the starry sky.‘
Lunana, A Yak In The Classroom takes us to the Himalayan mountains in Bhutan, a place you won’t soon forget after seeing this film.
The young teacher Ugyen from Bhutan is sent to the extremely remote mountain village of Lunana for his final year of training. The high altitude and the lack of amenities in his primitive new surroundings make him want to leave immediately after arrival. But the warm welcome from the children and the spiritual strength of the villagers make him rethink his decision and will change his fate forever.
