Erupcja explores the explosive chemistry between the Polish florist Nel (Lena Góra) and the British tourist Bethany (Charli XCX). While on vacation in Poland, Bethany breaks away from the romantic itinerary her devoted boyfriend Rob (Will Madden) has planned, fearing a marriage proposal. Instead, she meets an old friend, Nel, and over the course of a few days, the two women rediscover a unique, explosive chemistry in a low-key yet passionate encounter, rooted in lesbian synchronicity and a shared love of poetry. Bethany’s impulsive behavior, however, is a fateful trait that Nel knows all too well, and while a lovesick Rob wanders through Warsaw in search of answers, the three try to unravel the difference between fate and coincidence.
