Marie-Lou, the director of a nursing home in Paris, is trying to break with convention using an innovative care method.
She encounters fierce resistance from her team, who believe that placing the residents’ wishes and dignity at the absolute center of everything is not feasible. Marie-Lou’s life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Mari, a Japanese theater director battling cancer. As a close friendship develops between the two women, they join forces in the struggle to make the impossible possible.
