A mosaic narrative about the Arab uprising against British colonialism and the Zionist settlements in Palestine in 1936. You follow, among others, a female journalist writing under a man’s name, a villager who becomes involved in the resistance, and several British officials.
After Annemarie Jacir’s historical epic had already received a fifteen-minute standing ovation at the Toronto International Film Festival, the film went on to become one of the audience favorites during its Dutch premiere at IFFR.
