*English translation

Andrea Arnold’s American Honey is a tender roadtrip showing a group of precarious teenagers trying to make their way through the world selling magazine subscriptions door to door.

In the American heartland, we see Sasha Lane as Star in “a struggle for independence in a situation of utter dependency”.

Before the screening, we will focus on the idea of solidarity. If we recognize precarity as a social condition not only limited to economic exploitation, but instead, count the precarious as a wealth of different subjectivities or struggling lives, how to appeal to solidarity? What does solidarity look like when it is not bordered by ideas of class, race or gender?
